This piece began as song for jazz sextet with voice and horns; commissioned and released by ABC Jazz on the album 'Grief, Hope, Love'. This instrumental big band version was commissioned by the Australian National University for their jazz orchestra.
With a driving straight 8ths time feel, it balances legato melodies with punchy high energy horns in rhythmic tutti. Soloist options are tenor sax, piano and guitar.
