Divergence at Wangaratta Jazz
Divergence are really excited to be performing an outdoor set at Australia's best jazz festival, The Wangaratta Festival of Jazz & Blues, held in country Victoria. This is their first jazz festival performance, as a well as their first date outside of Sydney. The band is looking forward to playing as well as checking out some great international acts and camping as a group!
They will be performing on Sunday the 3rd of November at 2:30pm at the WAW stage- which is a free event.

Divergence Album Out Now

Independently produced and funded, The Opening Statement is a showcase of the music of bandleader Jenna Cave. The collection of selected works, composed between 2006 to 2013, were rewritten for Divergence Jazz Orchestra in collaboration with Paul Weber, and collectively developed for performance by the ensemble. At the time of recording the group was made up of 18 of Sydney’s most committed young jazz musicians, aged 19 to 34, who shared a special interest in performing original large ensemble music.
